Veteran actor Johnny Depp is set for a major Hollywood return with ‘Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol.’ The movie will be based on Charles Dickens’ classic 1843 novel “A Christmas Carol.” The film will be produced by Paramount Pictures and directed by Ti West.

According to Deadline, the producers have also roped in Andrea Riseborough. The movie is set to be released on November 13, 2026. The script is written by Nathaniel Halpern, who wrote the script, and the film will be produced by Emma Watts.

In the new movie, Depp is set to reckon with the ghosts of his past, present, and future in his new movie, PEOPLE reported. This movie is being seen as a bold move from the new Paramount regime. After the Skydance merger, the studio is in final negotiations to board Ebenezer:


The classic Charles Dickens story is a tale of an elderly miser visited by the ghost of his former business partner and the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come.

According to Deadline, this version is a thrilling ghost story set in Dickens’ London. It follows the supernatural journey of a man who will face his past, present, and future and fight for a second chance. Stephen Deuters and Jason Forman are also executive producers.
