John Bolton’s Warning About Pete Hegseth's Future
During an interview with CNN's Kasie Hunt, Bolton said, “I don’t see his tenure here lasting more than some months into the future,” quoted HuffPost. He went on to say, “Someone suggested to me that you take the garbage out in August and maybe that’s when there are a lot of changes in the administration,” as quoted in the report.
Bolton's remarks come after Hegseth got involved in a second scandal related to his use of Signal, a messaging app, to leak sensitive information, as per HuffPost.
According to the report, the White House has reportedly started the process to replace Hegseth, after he allegedly revealed plans of a military attack on Houthi rebels in a group chat with his wife, his brother and his personal lawyer.
While Bolton discussed the most recent Signal scandal on CNN, he said that, Hegseth showed a “terrible lack of judgement” as quoted in the report.

Bolton even predicted that there will be a “decent interval” before the US president "lets Hegseth go so the administration doesn’t appear as if it’s bowing to political pressure,” quoted HuffPost.The former national security adviser said of Hegseth that, “He’s used up his goodwill with the administration. He’s supposed to be defending Trump, not Trump defending him,” as quoted in the report. Bolton even mentioned, “This is wasted energy for the White House at this point.”
