Jimmy Kimmel will be hosting the 2024 Oscars for the fourth time. For the second consecutive year, Molly McNearney will also be back in the role of executive producer.

Viewership increased for the 2023 Oscars, drawing an average of 18.8 million people overall—a 13% increase over the previous year's numbers.


The films nominated for awards this year include a wealth of popular choices, like Warner Bros.' "Barbie" and Universal Pictures' "Oppenheimer." The two films were the highlights of the summertime "Barbenheimer" craze that swept across mainstream culture and theaters.
