"Strike Force Three", a prominent live event which was recently announced by Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, and Stephen Colbert, has been canceled due to Jimmy Kimmel's positive COVID-19 test result. Kimmel updated about his health on X (formerly called Twitter).

"Well, Las Vegas, I got Covid, and sadly, we need to cancel this weekend's Strike Force Three show," Kimmel posted. "I could never live with myself if I got my hometown friends sick. Thanks to all who purchased tickets, everyone will get full refunds and we will try to reschedule if possible," he added.

Originally, "Strike Force Three" was set to be held at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas on September 23. This event was anticipated to mark the first-ever on-stage collaboration of the three late-night hosts. Its inception was inspired by the "Strike Force Five" podcast, co-hosted by the trio, Seth Meyers, and John Oliver, which debuted on August 30.


Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers and John Oliver are part of "Strike Force Five", according to a statement from streaming service Spotify. All five appear on each episode and they take turns as host. It is a group effort to raise funds for their striking staff writers.

The roughly 11,500 members of the Writers Guild of America (WGA) went on strike in early May after failing to reach a new labor agreement with the major Hollywood studios that produce films and TV shows. The SAG-AFTRA actors union, Hollywood's largest union with 160,000 members, walked off the job in July.
