Jimmy Kimmel, host of the late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, is back on ABC following nearly a week-long suspension over his comments on the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during an event at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025.

Jimmy Kimmel Live airs every weeknight at 11:35 p.m. EDT. The late-night talk show features a lineup of guests from different walks of life that include celebrities, athletes, musical acts, comedians, and human-interest subjects, along with comedy bits and a house band. Following its return after the suspension, actor Glen Powell and singer Sarah McLachlan were the guests on Tuesday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension from ABC

Kimmel’s late-night show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" was taken off air, and he was suspended by the BBC over his on-air remarks about Tyler Robinson, suspected killer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, that drew the ire of the Trump administration.

Before his suspension, the late-night host had made remarks on Monday night about the September 10 assassination of Kirk.

"We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it," Kimmel said on his Monday night show.
