Jimmy Buffett gets hospitalized in Boston. See what happened

Jimmy Buffett, who is a legendary entertainer, has been hospitalized in Boston. He also had to postpone a concert.

On social media on Thursday, the "Margaritaville" singer said that the hospitalization has come just after a Bahamas trip.

"I had to stop in Boston for a check-up but wound up back in the hospital to address some issues that needed immediate attention. Growing old is not for sissies, I promise you. I also will promise you, that when I am well enough to perform, that is what I’ll be doing in the land of She-Crab soup," American singer-songwriter said.


The Coral Reefer Band’s concert in Charleston, South Carolina, which was scheduled for Saturday, will also be rescheduled, said Buffett. The Coral Reefer Band is the touring and recording band of Buffett.

On Twitter, Jimmy Buffett, while making the announcement about the postponement, said, “The Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band concert at Credit One Stadium in Charleston scheduled for this Saturday May 20th is being rescheduled. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be emailed to ticket purchasers directly.”



No other details were shared about his condition. At the end of 2022, the 76-year-old had postponed tour dates, after a "brief hospitalization" citing health issues.

"Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, your amazing years of loyalty, and just remember, "NOT YET!" he said.

“My prayer is for a speedy recovery & good health, not so you can return to the Lowcountry, but for your quality of life. We older fans understand. We are more fragile than before. We used to rub dirt on it & push through it. It doesn’t work that way at our age,” a fan said on social media.

“Your not wrong — I used to think the problem with getting older was your parents were old — now that I’m old your correct it’s not for the the faint of heart,” another user said.

“Your health is what’s most important, JB. Take care of yourself; we’re not going anywhere. If you choose to get back out on the road, great, but only if it’s in your best interest,” said another netizen.
