Jewish voters prefer Kamala Harris to Donald Trump, with 68% voting for her in U.S. Elections

87% of American Jewish voters, according to a recent survey, are in favor of Biden's attempts to bring the Israel-Hamas War to a halt.

A new survey by a Jewish Democratic group indicates that a significant majority of American Jews plan to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris. The survey also reveals that 87% of Jewish voters in the United States support the Biden administration's efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas War that would free the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.

The poll also shows that 87 % of the Jewish voters in America support the Biden administration in the effort to facilitate the release of the Israeli hostages held in the Gaza Strip through a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas. According to a Jewish Democratic Council of America survey carried out, 68 percent of the voters who are Jewish agreed to vote for the Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, while 25 percent for the Republican nominee and the former president Donald Trump.

The contentious campaign period, which presents important questions of which party is worse for American Jews in the current social media and presidential debates, seems to have little effect on the shift in opinions of Jewish voters. It also implies that the Republican Party's concerted efforts to increase the number of Jewish voters following October 7 have not produced much of an impact.

Jewish voters are slightly more likely to support the Democratic candidate than they were back in April, when President Joe Biden was the frontrunner. Biden was leading Trump 64% to 24% among Jewish voters in that survey, which was carried out by the Jewish Electorate Institute, which is affiliated with the JDCA and is conducted in partnership with GBAO. Under the 3.5 percentage-point margin of error for both polls, Harris's 4% lead over Biden is almost insignificant.

Among Jewish voters, Democrats have consistently held majorities for decades, often surpassing 70%, starting in the mid-60s. Jews favored Biden over Trump by roughly 60% to 30%, according to a 2020 survey conducted by the Republican Jewish Coalition. 77% to 21% was a noticeably different breakdown found in a liberal J Street poll conducted that same year.

According to Monday's poll, Harris performs better than Biden when respondents are asked to select between her and Trump, excluding third-party contenders like Jill Stein and Cornel West. While Biden scored 67% to Trump's 26%, she received a score of 72% to 25%. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the most well-known third-party contender, recently halted his campaign and gave his endorsement to Trump. With less than two months until Election Day, polls across the country show that the race is evenly matched.

Both have initiated Jewish lobbying activities as well as accused each other of antisemitism, especially with the election scheduled for November 5. Democrats have compared Trump to Adolf Hitler, while Trump has said any Jew voting for Democrats needs to get a mental fitness check. The two parties have continued to court the Jewish vote, especially the progressives, as the war with Hamas has alienated many. The poll conducted recently revealed that 75% of people have some affinity with Israel, and antisemitism has ranked fifth.
