Two massive explosions shook the city of Jerusalem on Wednesday. The bomb attack took the life of a 16-year-old, and 14 other people were badly injured. According to the Israeli police, the bomb attacks took place at bus stops in Jerusalem. The explosions occurred in two busy areas on the outskirts of Jerusalem when people were heading to their work.
The Israeli media has identified the deceased as Aryeh Shtsupak, who is said to be an Israeli-Canadian Jewish seminary student. The first explosion took place after 07:00 (05:00 GMT) in Givat Shaul, close to the main entrance to Jerusalem. Just about 30 minutes later, another blast was witnessed in Ramot Junction, another entrance to the city.

According to Israeli medics, the first attack wounded 12 people, including an Israeli-Canadian religious student who took his last breath at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. On the other hand, three people sustained minor injuries during the second attack.

An Israel Police spokesperson told CNN that the two devices used for the explosion were most likely detonated remotely. Kobi Shabtai, the police commissioner, had earlier said that the attacks were unprecedented in recent times.
