Jennifer Aniston chatted with Matthew Perry on the day he died

In her first interview after the 54-year-old actor's passing, the star talked candidly about her former co-star, revealing that she had contacted him on October 28, the day he passed away.

In an interview, she stated, "That morning, funny Matty, I was actually texting with him. She also continued by saying that he was very happy in his life and had become more disciplined. He was not facing any trouble.

Reese Witherspoon, Aniston's co-star on "Morning Show," attended the interview with her and held her hand while she sobbed.


She remembered that he was joyful. "He was in good health. He was no longer smoking. He was getting fit. I only know that he was happy.

Working together on the popular NBC comedy that ran from September 22, 1994, to May 6, 2004, with David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, Perry and Aniston grew close.

In addition, Aniston expressed her wish that Perry, who battled addiction for the majority of his life, will be remembered "the way he expressed his desire to be remembered."

Friends of Perry declared after his passing that they would launch the Matthew Perry Foundation to support individuals struggling with substance misuse.

Since Perry's passing, Aniston said she has been touched by the innumerable tributes that his followers have left for him all around the world.
