The wedding of tech mogul Jeff Bezos and former journalist Lauren Sánchez was always destined to be lavish, but few predicted quite how influential it would be on a global scale. In a new report published by Launchmetrics, the pair's extravagant wedding, spanning multiple days in Venice, generated about $222 million in media influence value (MIV), marking one of the most commercially successful celebrity weddings of recent times, according to a report.

What is Media Influence Value (MIV)?

A WWD report has defined MIV as a "proprietary metric that assigns an actual monetary value to marketing strategies across print, online and social media to calculate return on investment."

Dolce & Gabbana Leads the Fashion Impact

At the top of the MIV list was Dolce & Gabbana, the Italian fashion house that created Sánchez's bespoke wedding dress, the label alone generated $14.5 million in media coverage from June 25 to June 29, which was 28% more than what it earned during its fall 2025 fashion show in March, as per the WWD report. Sánchez had worn a custom wedding dress by Dolce & Gabbana, which was inspired by classic 1950s bridal fashion, according to the report.

Other Designers Shine at the Wedding

Her welcome wedding party dress, which was made by Schiaparelli, earned $4 million in MIV, followed by Versace, also worn by Sánchez and by guest Kim Kardashian, generating $2.8 million in media exposure, as per the WWD report.

Even other luxury fashion houses gained from Bezos and Sánchez's wedding because of its media exposure, including Oscar de la Renta, earned $2.7 million, Alexander McQueen generated $1.6 million, Dior earned $1.6 million, Balenciaga got $1.1 million, Dilara Findikoglu earned $781,000, Roberto Cavalli generated $735,000, Tamara Ralph earned $577,000, Lorraine Schwartz earned $575,000), Chanel got $422,000, Tom Ford received $328,000), Mugler earned $256,000, Bottega Veneta generated $187,000, Maison Margiela earned $141,000 and Alaia Paris earned $121,000, as reported by WWD.

Wedding Celebration with Global Buzz

The couple hosted a grand wedding celebration in Venice, which also got worldwide attention, along with a celebrity-studded guest list, according to the report. Among those who attended their lavish wedding were Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim Kardashian, Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Sydney Sweeney, Khloé Kardashian, Tom Brady and Ivanka Trump, according to the WWD report.
