Protesters say the wedding shows how billionaires are hurting the planet while others suffer. One protester said, “Bezos shows an economic and social system that is leading to collapse”, as stated by Daily Mail.

The wedding is being planned by Lanza & Baucina Limited. The planners said they are trying to respect Venice and its people. They claim they are hiring locals to work on the event and trying to avoid causing disruption, as reported by Page Six.
