Jeff Bezos seriously warmig up to Donald Trump after years of feuding; his company, Amazon Studios to release a documentary on Melania directed by Brett Ratner accused of #MeToo

Jeff Bezos is warming up to Donald Trump, and Amazon Studios has licensed a Melania Trump documentary directed by Brett Ratner.

Jeff Bezos's uncritical Melania documentary is a bow to Trump. Melania Trump will soon appear on the big screen. In a statement to Fox News, Amazon Studios announced that it had licensed a documentary about the incoming first lady that promises an "unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look" at her life.

Brett Ratner is directing the documentary, which Trump and Fernando Sulichin are executive producing. It is expected to debut in theatres and on streaming services in the second half of 2025. Filming started last month, as quoted in a report by the Daily Beast.

Why is Bezos shifting his stance on Trump?

The decision to release the film is the most recent in a string of public initiatives by Jeff Bezos, Amazon, and several of his businesses to make amends with President-elect Donald Trump and his family following years of animosity, even though any outlet would be very interested in any exclusive look into the life of the former first lady who is now the future first lady.

Besides its $1 million in-kind donation to the incoming president's inauguration fund, Amazon also announced that it would stream the event on Prime Video. Bezos, the most recent of several tech billionaires to do so, has also had dinner at Mar-a-Lago with Trump and his billionaire ally Elon Musk.

Another Bezos-related incident resulted from Silicon Valley titans' uniformity in kissing Trump's ring.

A cartoon by Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Ann Telnaes that showed Bezos and other tech billionaires bowing down to Trump while carrying bags of cash was destroyed by The Washington Post, another Bezos company. Opinions editor David Shipley claimed he killed the cartoon because it had published other articles on the same topic, and Telnaes later quit the paper.

The controversy arose months after Bezos broke the Post's decades-long tradition of endorsing presidents by boosting the publication's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to reports, Bezos has attempted to increase the number of conservative authors and readers of the publication. The movie will mark Ratner's first directing endeavour in a decade. Ratner is best known for his work on Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand.
