After buying two adjacent homes on the barrier island Indian Creek for a combined $147 million, Jeff Bezos is searching for a third home in Miami and an oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, Florida. According to the New York Post, the world’s third-richest man is most likely to tear both houses down and build a mega-compound. Jeff Bezos is also searching for a third Miami home to buy and live in until the Indian Creek compound ready to is move in. Earlier, Burrito baron Steve Ells, the Chipotle founder in the West Village, and Tommy Hilfiger in Palm Beach have done the same thing.


Bezos seen lunching in Palm Beach


Bezos and Lauren Sanchez were also seen lunching in Palm Beach recently on Worth Avenue with Hilfiger, Dee Ocleppo, Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin. The Amazon and Blue Origin billionaire has expressed interest in Villa Artemis on Palm Beach, but this property is not for sale now.



Owner refuses to sell property


Michael Horvitz, a retired lawyer who owns the property with his wife Jane Rosenthal Horvitz and his sister-in-law Cynthia Rosenthal Boardman told Gimme Shelter that it is indeed being shopped off-market to a few individuals whom he declined to name. Horvitz said, "I was approached by someone who asked me if he could show it to a few people. He thinks he can sell it for a price we can’t refuse. Aviation enthusiast Amy Phipps, who gave her plane, Friendship, to Amelia Earhart and Frederick Guest once owned the home. There is an iconic photograph of their daughter-in-law C. Z. Guest, standing by the pool with a Roman temple replica in the background. Horvitz said the house has been in his wife’s family for more than 60 years and he would not like to sell it.
