But, instead of spending the entire amount on herself, she has donated a large part of it. She went viral on social media platforms for announcing to donate a $2 million grant to the Birthing Beautiful Communities. The money will be spent on the doula program in Ohio dedicated to Black mothers, babies, and families.

After receiving billions of dollars as the divorce settlement, MacKenzie Scott has donated to organizations working for decreasing maternal mortality rates, and groups working in the fields of arts, education, affordable housing, and public health.

She has given out a whopping amount of $17.3 billion to organizations that support people in underserved communities. This past March, the philanthropist donated more than $640 million to 361 organizations.

According to a report published by 'Yahoo!Life', the research has revealed that both Black and white women facing social inequities experience poorer obstetric pain management, Black women in general are about 10% less likely to get neuraxial analgesia. It is an effective pain reliever.
