Jeff Beck passed away at 78 years in January after getting infected by bacterial meningitis.
Jeff Beck grabbed the headlines last year when he made an announcement of his collaboration with John Depp soon after Depp’s defamation battle against his ex-wife Amber Heard was concluded. However, Beck and Depp were not meeting for the first time, they encountered earlier in 2016 and began recording the album in 2019 where Depp was simultaneously performing with Alice Cooper’s supergroup Hollywood Vampires. Since then, their bond flourished over time. In 2022, they both released a full-length album named 18 and performed many live shows together.
Beck rose to fame when he became a member of the Yardbirds, the rock band. Soon he formed the Jeff Beck Group which later evolved into Beck, Boggert & Appice. He has rarely sung but when he sang “Hi Ho Silver Lining,” it turned out to be a huge hit as a solo artist and came in the top 20 in both 1967 and on re-release five years later.
