Jaylon Ferguson, Baltimore Ravens Linebacker, passes away at 26

The famous outside linebacker of the Baltimore Ravens, Jaylon Ferguson, died on Wednesday morning. The news of the 26-year-old American football star's demise was made official by his club in a statement.

Jaylon O'Neal Ferguson was an American football outside linebacker and defensive end for the famous Baltimore Ravens. In a statement made by the club, they announced the tragic passing of the Ravens LB. The statement further added that Ferguson was a kind and respectful man who had an infectious personality.

The Baltimore police immediately responded to a home in the 400 block of Ilchester Ave. Following the report of a questionable death on Tuesday. As per a Baltimore police spokesperson, on reaching the location, Ferguson was found in an unconscious state. The medics treated Ferguson as he was unresponsive. However, he didn't regain consciousness, and they pronounced him 'dead on the scene'.

The Baltimore police made clear that there isn't any suspicion of any sign of trauma or foul play. Ferguson had been with the Ravens for 38 games. He had ten starts, 67 tackles, and 4.5 sacks throughout three seasons.


The agent of Jaylon Ferguson, Safarrah Lawson, made a statement asking the public for prayers and respecting Ferguson's family's privacy during this trying time. John Harbaugh, Ravens coach, made a statement, saying Ferguson was a gentle and good-hearted person everyone loved, including his team and family. He called Ferguson a "joy to talk with".

The other players from the Baltimore Ravens and the NFL community expressed their grief on different social media platforms. The defensive lineman of Ravens, Calais Campbell, said that Ferguson was a great young man with a big smile and had the power to lighten up a room with his jokes.

Ronnie Stanley, Ravens tackle, called Ferguson a person with a pure heart who never downplayed his teammates. The player added that Ferguson was an eager learner who always smiled.

Tyus Bowser, Ravens LB, also added that Ferguson always encouraged him on bad days and had positive energy. He concluded by saying Ferguson will be missed but never forgotten.
