Reed, who was already dealing with a foot injury during practice this week, went down soon after making a catch. According to Yahoo Sports, Reed initially walked off on his own, holding his right arm, but went down once again on the sideline. Reed headed to the training room after a brief visit to the medical tent.
Reed topped the Packers in receptions (55) and receiving yards (857) last season, while his six touchdown catches were the second-highest total on the roster.
After the game, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters that third-year slot receiver Reed “is going to miss a lot of time,” though he expressed optimism that Reed could return before the season concludes.
Reed suffered the injury in the first quarter while stretching for a 39-yard reception that looked like Green Bay’s opening score, only for the play to be wiped out by a holding penalty on rookie right tackle Anthony Belton.
A second-round selection by the Packers in the 2023 draft, Reed has compiled 122 catches for 1,695 yards and 15 touchdowns in his career.
