The Giants touchdown concluded a seven-play, 80-yard drive in the second quarter. Dart completed three of his four passes on the series, including receptions by running back Dante Miller for 18 yards and wide receiver Montrell Washington for 28 yards. Both Miller and Washington are competing for spots on the Giants’ 53-man roster.
Dart also ran the ball twice during the drive, once on a designed play and once after extending the pocket before scrambling for a one-yard gain.
The scoring possession marked Dart’s second series of the game. His first drive produced one first down before the Giants were forced to punt against Buffalo’s starting defense. Dart replaced starting quarterback Russell Wilson in the rotation and entered the game ahead of Jameis Winston.
Against the Bills’ backup defensive unit, Dart showed improved timing and ball placement. His ability to deliver the Giants touchdown under pressure provided the offense with momentum during the preseason contest.
