Jared Leto, the versatile 51-year-old artist, has made history by becoming the first person ever to legally climb the 102-story Empire State Building. "Ever since I was a kid, New York stood for the place that you went to make your dreams come tr...

This promotional stunt was done to celebrate his brand 'Thirty Seconds To Mars' new album 'The End of the World but It's a Beautiful Day' and the launch of their upcoming 2024 world tour.
Speaking to NBC's Today show, Leto shared his thoughts on the climb: "I was more excited than nervous, to tell you the truth. But I have to be honest, it was very, very hard. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Just the endurance that it took, the stamina that it took, and it was very sharp."
Renowned for his Oscar-winning performance in Dallas Buyers Club and roles in films like Morbius, House of Gucci, and Suicide Squad, Leto is also the frontman for Thirty Seconds to Mars, known for hits like "Kings and Queens." The band is gearing up for their first headline tour in five years, commencing in Buenos Aires in March 2024.
"To watch the sunrise overlooking the city that's meant so much to me. Ever since I was a kid, New York stood for the place that you went to make your dreams come true," Leto said.
A special moment during Leto's climb: "I made it to the top, and I saw my mother in the window of the 80th floor, and that was a nice surprise."
The Empire State Building, once the world's tallest, stands at an impressive 380m (1,250ft) and measures 443m (1,454ft) when considering its antenna.
