Japan's leading entertainment company, Nippon TV, has signed a deal with Netflix and licensed 13 of its popular anime titles to be streamed non-exclusively on the world's largest streaming platform across the world.

The first titles will start streaming on Netflix from September 2. The first titles that will be streamed on Netflix are the ever-popular 38 episodes of "Hunter X Hunter." The titles will be streamed in 104 countries, including Italy, Spain, Turkey, Finland, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and the UAE.

Notably, "Ouran High School Host Club" will be available in 190 countries, while another title, "Claymore," will be streamed in 136 nations. The other titles that Netflix will stream, not in order, are "Death Note," "From Me to You," "Death Note: Relight 1," "From Me to You 2nd Season," "Death Note: Relight 2," "Parasyte - the Maxim," "Berserk," "Nana," "Monster" and Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting!"

While commenting upon the deal, Nippon TV's Inoue Akane stated that anime had been the company's main driving force, which has produced several hit titles in the past years. Akane said that anime's popularity had increased massively in recent times; therefore, it was an opportune moment to establish this "exciting partnership" with the streaming platform.
