January transfer window: When will it close for Premier League clubs?

Several Premier League clubs are already out in the hunt in the winter market, signalling that the January transfer season is still on. Liverpool has already taken Cody Gakpo, who beat rival Man Utd to bag the promising Dutch forward.

A number of Premier League clubs have already spilled the cash by shopping around during the winter market. This means that the January transfer season is ongoing.

The purchase of Cody Gakpo by Liverpool has undoubtedly been the league's best buy till now, with Jurgen Klopp's team beating rival Manchester United to bag the brilliant Dutch forward.

The marquee signing for Chelsea, who have been among the busiest teams so far, was the £35 million acquisition of French defender Benoit Badiashile from Monaco.


The Blues have also moved quickly to recruit Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos and Ivorian attacker David Datro Fofana.

When does the transfer window close?

The January transfer window for Premier League and EFL Clubs will conclude on January 31, 2023 at 11 pm. Meanwhile, the teams in Scotland will be at advantage as they will have time till midnight to complete transactions.

La Liga in Spain closes at 11 pm, Ligue 1 in France closes at midnight, and Bundesliga in Germany is set to close at 5 pm.
