Janey Godley gives update on cancer as she continues Not Dead Yet tour while undergoing chemotherapy

As she continues her ‘Not Dead Yet Tour,’ Janey Godley has provided a positive cancer report.

Only months after her ovarian cancer returned, the Scottish comedian—best known for her comic parody videos—started her live stand-up tour.

Godley recently stated that even though she has weekly chemotherapy, her "haemoglobin is back up and holding its own."



“Great news”, Davina McCall wrote to convey her happiness, adding, “I can't wait to see you next week”. "Well done!" Woohoo!" Jenni Murray chimed in, and Julia Bradbury, the host, agreed.

Janey Godley underwent a thorough hysterectomy to treat her stage three ovarian cancer in early 2022 after receiving her first diagnosis in November 2021. After receiving the all-clear from cancer in June, she revealed details of her 2023 tour, ‘Not Dead Yet’.

But, Godley announced in December that she would resume treatment if the disease reappeared.

In a video posted on Twitter, she stated, "My recent scan and my blood tests indicated that my cancer marker increased, and there is still a little illness in my belly."



I want to let you all know that I will be receiving further chemotherapy.

The comedian still said that the tour will go and that she was "determined to get back on stage."

I believe it's fair and honest to say that this tour might be the final time you see me perform live, therefore I'm looking forward to it, she remarked.

"I hope not, but I believe it to be a realistic estimate."

In February and March, Godley will perform all around Scotland. The tour will come to a close with three performances at the Leicester Square Theatre from March 16 to 18.
