Jana Kramer and fiancé Allan Russell welcome baby boy

Jana Kramer, host of The Whine Down podcast and accomplished author, has welcomed her first child with fiancé Allan Russell. The couple joyfully announced the arrival of their son, Roman James Russell, born on Monday, Nov. 13, weighing 6 lbs., 1 oz. at birth.

Kramer and Russell in an interview with the PEOPLE, said, "Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel blessed to have been given the chance to create something so special together."

"The name Roman really isn't inspired by anyone; it's just a strong name that we both love, but James (his middle name) was both of our Grandpa's names, so that was a nod to them," the couple told PEOPLE.

The 39-year-old country star and podcaster shared moments of her pregnancy journey on Instagram, expressing gratitude for an intimate gathering with close friends.

She mentioned that the baby was due on Dec. 2 but clarified that she would be having a C-section earlier due to a "growing fibroid."

Last month, the singer shared glimpses of a low-key celebration with friends on Instagram, expressing her gratitude for the cozy gathering. Alongside photos with her bump, Kramer wrote, "I’m beyond blessed for these girls. I told them I didn’t want this big shower…I just wanted cozies and my queendom for one night…and it was perfect."
