After the phenomenal success of "Avatar: The Way of Water," grossing an impressive $2.3 billion, director James Cameron is forging ahead with the Avatar franchise, with the first two films ranking as the No. 1 and No. 3 highest-grossing movies of all time.

The third installment of the franchise is anticipated to hit theaters in 2025, followed by Avatar 4 in 2029 and Avatar 5 in 2031.

Avatar 3 Plot: A new race and elemental themes
While details about the plot of Avatar 3 remain under wraps, Cameron shared that the narrative will introduce a new race of people personifying the element of fire.
