Jakorian Bennett gets fresh start with Philadelphia Eagles in swap deal
The Philadelphia Eagles and Las Vegas Raiders executed a trade, with the Eagles acquiring cornerback Jakorian Bennett in exchange for defensive tackle Thomas Booker. Bennett, a 2023 fourth-round pick, brings starting experience and depth to Philad...

Bennett, a 2023 fourth-round pick, brings more starting experience to the deal, having appeared in 24 games with 11 starts for the Raiders, including seven starts last season. He has recorded 58 tackles and 11 passes defensed in his young career.
While Philadelphia already boasts a deep and talented secondary - ranked No. 1 in passing yards allowed in 2024 - Bennett offers valuable depth behind a strong cornerback group that includes Quinyon Mitchell, Cooper DeJean, Kelee Ringo, Adoree’ Jackson, and Mac McWilliams.
Booker, originally a fifth-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2022, played in all 17 regular-season games for the Eagles last year, notching 18 tackles and a sack. He adds needed depth to a Raiders interior defensive line that recently saw changes, including the release of Christian Wilkins.
Though not a blockbuster move, the trade is a classic training camp transaction - teams swapping depth pieces to better align with roster needs as they evaluate talent ahead of final cuts.
