Former US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump has dropped a bombshell on the Republicans and her father's supporters. During a hearing that is related to the question of whether the 2020 Presidential election was stolen, a House Committee revealed a new video wherein Ivanka has accepted that the election was fair and not stolen.

In the video, Ivanka supports the then-Attorney General William Barr's statement that the 2020 Presidential Election was not stolen. Notably, Ivanka was also her father's one-time White House advisor.

According to William Barr's statement, he had already told Trump that claims regarding election fraud were nonsensical. Barr had stated that his team did not find any evidence that could substantiate Donald Trump's claims that the election was stolen.

Ivanka's testimony is against her father's allegations regarding voting fraud in the 2020 Presidential election.

While Ivanka's testimony has pushed the supporters of Donald Trump back, US President Joe Biden-led Democrats have rejoiced with it. It is the first time the US House Committee has shared any testimony from Donald Trump's daughter. However, more such videos are expected in further hearings.

The video was shared during the trial that has been investigating the deadly US Capitol riots caused by Trump supporters on January 6, 2021.

The investigating committee is scheduled to hold six hearings on this matter. The committee will try to establish the connection between Donald Trump's election-related false and inciting comments that led to the deadly 2021 US Capitol riots.

The hearings can also result in prosecutions and some new laws to make election security stronger.

Soon after the video clip was presented before the committee, the hashtag "Daddy" started to trend on Twitter. Keith Olbermann, a US sports commentator, tweeted that Ivanka's testimony has sunk "Daddy." Meanwhile, journalist David Corn stated that Ivanka practically called her father, Donald Trump, a liar. Several other people also made ironic statements about Ivanka's testimony.
