Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defences, and the integrity of the judicial process, the attorneys stated. In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone—adult or minor, man or woman.

A dozen civil lawsuits accusing Combs of sexual assault, sexual misconduct, and human trafficking were already pending. The complaints, which include specific claims of rape, abuse, and drugging, were initially submitted by his ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura.

Combs was charged with human trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution in federal court in September.

Combs' lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, expressed disappointment with the prosecution and urged him to clear his name.
