The Israeli military has confirmed a strike on an Iranian refueling plane at Mashhad Airport and a drone attack on a gas facility near Iran’s southern coast. These incidents come during rising military actions involving both countries.

Strike Reaches Deep into Iran

The Israeli army said it hit a refueling aircraft at Mashhad Airport. The airport is located in eastern Iran, around 2,300 kilometers from Israel. This was the farthest distance covered by the Israeli military since the start of its operations. The strike marks a new stage in Israel’s actions in the region.

Attack Targets Key Gas Facility

Another strike by Israeli drones targeted a gas installation near the Persian Gulf. The attack took place at South Pars Phase 14, located off the coast of Bushehr province. This facility is part of the South Pars/North Dome field. Iran shares this large gas reserve with Qatar. Nearly 70 percent of Iran’s domestic gas comes from this field.

Iran Responds to Gulf Strike

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the attack near the Persian Gulf was a move to expand the conflict. He warned that dragging the war into the Gulf region could have serious consequences. Iranian authorities confirmed a large explosion and fire at the gas facility. Emergency teams brought the situation under control. However, Araghchi described the action as dangerous and warned that it could pull in the wider region.
