IShowSpeed makes triumphant return to twitch after years-long ban

In the world of live streaming, IShowSpeed, or Speed, has carved a niche for himself as one of the most prominent and daring streamers. His broadcasts are often characterized by jaw-dropping stunts, from igniting fireworks in his bedroom to experimenting with concoctions like elephant toothpaste right beside his streaming setup. With a staggering fan following, Speed has become a notable figure in the online streaming realm.

Currently, Speed calls YouTube his streaming home, where he boasts an impressive subscriber count of nearly 30 million, spread across three separate channels. However, it's essential to remember that his streaming journey began on Twitch.

As Speed was rapidly ascending the ranks of Twitch stardom, his fortunes took a significant turn in December 2021. An on-air incident during a broadcast with fellow content creator Adin Ross led to his permanent ban from the platform, a move that left many in shock.

Since that fateful day, numerous content creators and fans have pleaded with Twitch to reconsider Speed's suspension, and, as of recent developments, it appears their pleas have been heard.

On October 10, 2023, observant fans noticed a significant change - Speed's Twitch channel had resurfaced. The channel is linked on Speed's Twitter/X profile, and though the follower count currently stands at a modest number, it continues to rise as this article is being written.

While the streamer himself has yet to comment on this unexpected turn of events, it doesn't come as a complete surprise to his devoted followers, given the recent discussions surrounding his suspended account.

In August, Twitch star Kai Cenat revealed that Twitch's CEO, Dan Clancy, had agreed that Speed deserved a second chance and should be unbanned. Merely a month later, in September, Clancy himself publicly expressed his openness to granting "second chances" to permanently banned streamers, raising hopes among many that Speed's channel might indeed stage a triumphant comeback.
