Isaiah Thomas makes another NBA return bid, signs with a G League squad

Former All-Star Isaiah Thomas will have another opportunity to play in the NBA. He is joining the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz's G-League franchise.

Isaiah Thomas was moved from the Celtics to the Cavaliers in the 2017 Kyrie Irving trade, and he has since encountered some difficulties.

Since his last season with the Celtics, when he was at his most effective, Thomas has been limited by injuries. He scored 28.9 points per game on average during the season. He has now appeared for nine additional NBA teams as a result of the agreement; however, none of them have been able to replicate his success with the Celtics.

Thomas, who is supposedly 35 years old, is making his third attempt to rejoin the NBA with the Salt Lake City Stars, the Utah Jazz's G-League franchise.

He was a part of the Stars at the start of last season before the Suns traded for him in the second half, so they will be familiar with the occurrences.

A Career of Determination and Highlights

Thomas has spent his whole 12-year professional career hopping from one league to another. He was selected to the All-Rookie squad in his rookie year as the last pick in the 2011 NBA draft, and he has had two All-Star seasons and one All-NBA selection over his career.

Thomas will probably not play as much on the Jazz's main roster as he did the previous season. Instead, he will utilize this as a chance to try out for other NBA teams that are interested in signing him later in the season to help with any post-season runs.

Next Opportunity to Shine

Thomas has yet to reach the heights of an NBA championship, but he is not going down without a fight. Danny Ainge, the former president of the Boston Celtics, has given him another opportunity to compete, therefore he is starting his quest for a league comeback in Salt Lake City.

On Tuesday, January 28th, at 7 p.m. MT, the Valley Suns will visit the Maverik Center, giving Thomas his next opportunity to play in the G League with the Stars.
