Isabelle Tate, 9-1-1: Nashville actress, died on October 19, 2025 (Sunday). She has passed away at the age of 23, according to her official obituary. The actress is survived by her mother, Katerina Kazakos Tate; stepfather, Vishnu Jayamohan; father, John Daniel Tate; and sister, Daniella Tate.

Born on August 8, 2002, Tate was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. The actress grew up in the Franklin community. She had recently appeared in the series premiere of 9-1-1: Nashville. Tate was also known for her love for animals who “wanted to change the world” and spent much of her time volunteering.

A representative for the young Tate told Entertainment Weekly that she died from a rare form of a neurological disorder. "Isabelle 'Izzy' Tate had a rare form of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease," says Kim McCray, founder of Tate's The McCray Agency, via email.


“Isabelle was full of fire, a fighter, never once making excuses for the fact that she might have a disability relative to others,” the obituary said. “She was also quite musically inclined, often spending hours writing and recording songs with friends and even publishing a few.”

“What she loved the most though was spending time with family and friends, always the life of the party,” it continues. “Her sister was her best friend and her mom was her shining beacon of light.”

Isabelle Tate’s talent agency shared a tribute

The McCray Agency, the talent agency of the actress, also shared a tribute on Instagram, writing in part, "We are deeply saddened and completely heartbroken to share that Isabelle Tate passed away on October 19th. She was 23. I’ve known Izzy since she was a teenager and she recently returned to acting. She booked the first series she auditioned for, 9-1-1 Nashville. She had a wonderful time."

Isabelle Tate's education and acting career

Isabelle completed her graduation from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business. She was also an aspiring actress and was most recently even featured in a TV show. Isabelle loved volunteering her time to all things, particularly animals—her idea of a fun outing was visiting an animal shelter and doling out lots of love.

Tate appeared in the role of Julie in 9-1-1: Nashville, which debuted on October 9, 2025, sharing the screen with stars such as LeAnn Rimes and Chris O'Donnell. In the episode, Julie receives a lap dance from Hunter McVey’s Blue, who is doing a striptease, after a woman blocks her view and calls her “hot wheels” because she’s in a wheelchair.
