YouTube confirms the outage

Following the reports of outage, the Alphabet owned company confirmed the outage on X and said they were working on a fix. "If you’re not able to play videos on YouTube right now – we’re on it!," YouTube said.



The company did not share any immediate cause for the outage. However, the acknowledgment assured users that teams were working to identify the problem. Initially, by 4:36 p.m. PT, Downdetector recorded more than 200,000 problem reports. That number increased rapidly, reaching nearly 300,000 within minutes.

Google responds to outage

Reacting to the outage, Google confirmed that the issue has been resolved across all YouTube services. “Hi everyone, We're aware that some of you are experiencing issues watching videos on YouTube, YouTube Music, or YouTube TV. We're investigating the issue and will update this thread with the latest info. Really appreciate your patience,” the Alphabet owned company said.
