Is MrBeast behind IShowSpeed landing in prison? Reality of viral incident explained

A viral video on social media showed popular content creator IShowSpeed being arrested for an unpaid speeding ticket. In the clip, Speed was seen being 'arrested' in North Carolina over issues pertaining to an alleged unpaid speeding ticket in Florida, Newsweek reported. In the early part of the 3-minute and 20-second clip, Speed is handcuffed and taken to a prison facility where there are other inmates. While all this was unfolding, Speed was seen shocked and broken, asking someone to “call” his dad. “Call my dad,” he was heard shouting in the video.

As the video neared its conclusion, it was revealed that it was all a prank by MrBeast. After Speed arrived at the prison facility, it was later revealed to him that it was a setup and all that transpired was part of a prank. It all ended when MrBeast himself emerged and said, "Hey, Speed, welcome to my prison."

Speed also observed a hidden surprise in the prison facility. On the wall of the prison was a Feastables sticker. It is a chocolate and snack brand created by MrBeast. Pointing towards the Feastables sticker, Speed said, "I f****** knew it." "You know how I f****** knew it? Because I've seen this s***," he added. Speed was released after the prank unfolded.

MrBeast and IShowSpeed are two immensely popular content creators with 429 million and 43 million subscribers on YouTube, respectively. IShowSpeed goes by the real name Darren Watkins Jr. and creates content that often involves him streaming, attending football events, playing games, and interacting with his followers.

Besides YouTube, IShowSpeed has a massive following of over 40 million across social media platforms, with 39.8 million, 4 million, and 3.7 million on Instagram, Facebook, and X, respectively. IShowSpeed was born on January 21, 2005, in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. According to IMDb, he is an actor and composer known for Live Speedy (2021), IShowSpeed: Shake Pt. 2 (2022), and IShowSpeed: Shake (2021).

On the other hand, MrBeast, real name James "Jimmy" Donaldson, was recently named by Forbes as the top content creator in the world. His body of content often involves big-budget, elaborate stunts and charitable acts. He also enjoys a massive following on Instagram, Facebook, and X, with 77.5 million, 30 million and 33,2 million followers respectively.
