The war for acquiring The Washington Post is getting hot now, as Tech reporter Kara Swisher is currently assembling a group of investors who would be interested in taking part in a bid to purchase The Washington Post from Jeff Bezos, the Amazon CEO. Although Bezos has not reportedly shown interest in selling as of now, a great proposal may not keep him away from the ring.

Will The Washington Post go out of Bezos' hands?

However, a Fox News report has said that Swisher has rejected an offer from Musk for participating in the consortium of investors who want to acquire Washington Post from Jeff Bezos. Swisher is of the opinion that the media company can do a lot better when not under Bezos' leadership, with employee morale decreasing in recent years.

Is Musk involved in the investment bid for The Washington Post?

Moreover, Bezos shocked everyone by not aligning it's editorial policy with any political party during the US Presidential elections 2024, and had even issued a press release regarding the same, which was reportedly because of Bezos' involvement in critical company's affairs. As per Swisher's opinion, the company can get a grip on itself if it goes out of Bezos' grip and lands with her and the investor consortium.

Swisher also took a dig at Musk by calling him the 'President (Not)Elect', due to his close relations with Donald Trump during and after the US elections that the Republican won by a massive margin, and then nominated Musk to co-head the Department of Government Efficiency, alongside Vivek Ramaswamy.
