During an interview with Bloomberg Technology, Gerber said, “It’s clear that he just doesn’t care,” quoted Benzinga. He went on to say, “His next move is X AI... Tesla stock has been hammered this year, with its value falling 33% to date, as per Benzinga. According to Gerber, the EV maker’s stock performance is down because of Musk’s role outside the company and reduced involvement with the company, as per Benzinga.While the EV maker is still leading in the US EV market, as per data from Cox Automotive, however, sales have dropped 8.6% year over year in the first quarter of 2025, while the market as a whole grew 11.4%, reported Benzinga.

Gerber also had to defend his criticism after a backlash from Tesla's retail investors, as per the report.
