Elon Musk’s father Errol Musk has criticised the billionaire’s parenting skills. Recently, the elder Musk implied that the Tesla boss should be blamed for the death of his first child.

Errol Musk made the shocking statement on Joshua Rubin’s Wide Awake Podcast. He also claimed that Elon Musk never spent time with his children and relied on nannies for their upbringing.

Errol Musk claimed that his son, the SpaceX CEO, “hasn't been a good dad.” He went on to accuse Elon Musk of the death of his first child -Nevada Alexander.


Nevada was in the care of a nanny when he passed away due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). He was 10 weeks old.

Stating that Elon Musk may “shoot” him listening to the podcast, Errol Musk said that he didn’t think it was acceptable for the billionaire’s kids to be raised by nannies.

He claimed that each of Elon Musk’s kids with his first wife- Justine Wilson- had a nanny, and called the situation “weird”. The 79-year-old added that when Elon Musk got divorced, the children had designated nannies.
