Is Costco open on Veterans Day? Check what is open and what is not
With Veterans Day coming on, people need not worry about where they can do some shopping if they need to! With COSTCO and plenty more supermarkets deciding to leave their doors open on the federal holiday.

Among a wide choice of supermarkets, Costco, for one, has decided to keep their doors open for its customers in the event they need to catch up on some shopping.
The significance is that the holiday falls after another federal holiday in September, which is Labor Day. So it is the immense sacrifice of the store who would have looked forward to this holiday for their employees.
The idea was to primarily help customers have access to whatever they needed to buy, with every other store being closed on the federal holiday. Business hours would be usual, from 10 am to 8:30 pm.
Veterans Day was so named to commemorate the sacrifice that 117,00 American soldiers laid their lives for the country.
Veterans Day is to celebrate the anniversary marking the end of the 1st World War. The US entered the war in 1918 alongside the Allied Powers, the United Kingdom, France and Russia. The war was officially stopped with the armistice with Germany on the 11th hour, the 11th Day of the 11th month in 1918.
On Veterans Day, all schools, banks and post offices would be shut given the holiday, but plenty of places like restaurants would be open for people to spend their time.
