The Hill reported that the poll survey also highlighted a spilt in the perceptions of which political party would be better for democracy. 45% of respondents view both the parties as good for democracy, whereas, a significant number believes that Democrats (29%) and Republicans (26%) are certainly detrimental to it.

New York Times and Sienna College conducted the poll survey pretty recently while the survey included around 2,516 voters which had a margin of error of 2.2 percentage points.
The Hill also noted that the recently conducted poll reflects an ongoing concern regarding the democracy in US amidst a politically charged environment where both the parties are accusing each other of undermining democratic values.
