iPhone 18 Pro leak: Is 'Dark Cherry' the next killer color for Apple’s rumored iPhone 18 Pro? Leaked dummy models offer a sneak peek
Leaked dummy models of the iPhone 18 Pro reveal its rumored color lineup: Light Blue, Black, Silver, and a new Dark Cherry. This deep red shade, described as a mix of burgundy and coffee, is expected to be the headline color. The dummies offer the...

What colors are rumored for the iPhone 18 Pro?
According to images shared by Sonny Dickson, the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max could launch in four colors: Light Blue, Black, Silver, and the heavily rumored Dark Cherry finish. The leaked models are already drawing attention online, especially after reports suggested the muted red finish could become Apple’s next standout iPhone color.
The leak marks the first time these shades have appeared in physical form rather than concept renders or supply chain descriptions. Dickson noted that “Cherry will probably be the next hit, orange did very well,” referencing the popularity of the Cosmic Orange finish used on the iPhone 17 Pro lineup.
Reports about a deep red iPhone finish have circulated for months. Earlier in 2026, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple had been testing a dark red version of the iPhone 18 Pro models. At the time, the shade was described simply as a “deep red” finish, as per a report by Mac Rumors.
Why is ‘Dark Cherry’ getting attention?
Much of the excitement around the leak centers on the new Dark Cherry finish, which multiple reports describe as more muted than previous bold iPhone colors.
Macworld reported that the shade leans closer to wine tones rather than bright red, giving it a more premium and understated appearance. The leaker known as “Instant Digital” later described the finish as a mix of burgundy, coffee, and deep purple tones.
“Instant Digital” has previously built credibility among Apple followers after accurately predicting the yellow color option for the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
Macworld also claimed Apple was internally testing the colors with specific Pantone references. The reported lineup included Light Blue (Pantone 2121), Dark Cherry (Pantone 6076), Dark Gray (Pantone 426C), and Silver (Pantone 427C).
The Light Blue option is said to resemble the current Mist Blue finish found on the iPhone 17 lineup.
Are these the final iPhone 18 Pro designs?
While the images are attracting major attention online, the leaked devices are still only dummy models. These units are typically made using plastic or lower-quality materials designed for accessory testing and early previews.
That means the exact finish, texture, and saturation of the colors may differ from Apple’s final retail models.
Still, the consistency between these images and earlier reports from Bloomberg, Macworld, and “Instant Digital” has led many Apple watchers to believe the leaked palette is likely close to the final version Apple plans to release.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to debut this fall alongside Apple’s long-rumored foldable iPhone.
The Dark Cherry finish is already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Apple color changes in years.
