iOS 26 hidden tricks: Apple’s new iOS 26 update has landed on millions of iPhones, but not every change is proving popular. While the software packs in futuristic tools like Hold Assist to wait on customer service calls for you and a Call Screening robot to filter unknown numbers, two everyday tweaks have left users frustrated.

Screenshot previews open full screen in iOS 26

In iOS 26, taking a screenshot no longer just gives you a tiny thumbnail in the corner, instead, it pops up as a full-screen preview, making editing and sharing quicker, as per a report. But if you only want to save the shot for later, it now takes extra taps.

How to fix iOS 26 screenshot problem

However, there are two quick fixes. Swipe up from the bottom of the preview to instantly save the screenshot to Photos, or head into Settings > General > Screen Capture and switch off Full-Screen Previews to get the old thumbnail style back, as per The Sun report.

Safari tabs harder to find after iOS 26 update

The Safari browser has also changed. Before, you could jump to your tabs page with one tap in the bottom corner. Now, you have to hit an icon and then select “All Tabs”, a clunky extra step, as per the report.

Tricks to access Safari tabs faster in iOS 26

To make things smoother, just swipe up on the URL bar to see all your tabs. A quick pinch on an open tab works too. And if you miss the old look entirely, go to Settings > Apps > Safari > Tabs and switch from Compact to Bottom view, as per The Sun report. That brings back the familiar one-tap shortcut.
