Vernon Sanders, Head of Television, Amazon Studios, in an interview with Steven Winetraub of Collider, confirmed that the season 2 of Invincible will be released in 2023. However, he didn’t reveal the month of release. Sanders, when asked about the Season 2 of ‘Invincible’ in the interview, said “2023 is going to be a great year for people.” However, when Winetraub pressed on and asked for a direct confirmation on whether new episodes would premiere in 2023, Sanders responded with a resounding “yes,” confirming the news.

Hinting at an announcement in January, the official Twitter handle of Invincible had tweeted, "So… this is the last month we won't have a Season 2 update for you." The outcome of the interview with Vernon Sanders came as an early Christmas surprise gift for the fans. Following the success of season 1, Amazon had renewed the series to season 3, thus making fans anxious about the release date.



Invincibles is based on the comic book by writer Robert Kirkman and artists Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. The first season of the animated series adaptation of the comic was released on Amazon Prime video in March 2021. It immediately became a hit owing to its well-paced writing and commendable performance by the voice artists. However, it was criticised for its “rushed animation process,” as per media reports.
