Inside the 17 star-studded after-parties of the Met Gala 2025

The Met Gala 2025 celebrated black style this year. From a pregnant Rihanna to Zendaya turning heads in a zoot suit, the red carpet had no shortage of bold and fashionable statements.

The 2025 Met Gala boasted 17 after-parties spanning all corners of New York City.

Celebrities were seen hopping from one hotspot to another. Law Roach, Zendaya’s stylist, once described these parties as a “second (and sometimes third) look,” and this year, the stars fully embraced that mantra.

Elise Taylor’s Party Marathon

Vogue’s Elise Taylor decided to attend every single Met Gala after-party. She started at the Willy Chavaria and Don Julio-hosted bash at The Mark Hotel, where she arrived to a crowd of fashion industry professionals, hairdressers, and stylists, all winding down after a hectic night of prep.

The first stop on her list was at the Cartier at The Carlyle after-party, renowned for its sophisticated atmosphere. Night’s elite guests like Emma Chamberlain, Miley Cyrus, and Lana Del Rey were still trickling in. Later, Lana Del Rey performed a surprise rendition of "Candy Necklace" with Jon Batiste.

GQ’s Star-Studded Bash

The most famous party of all was GQ’s After-Party at The Twenty Two. Co-hosted by the likes of André 3000, Grace Wales Bonner, and image architect Law Roach, the venue exuded cool, with Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner seen in chic mini-dresses.

Taylor pointed out, the vibe felt less “crowded celebrity” and more “who’s who in the fashion world,” with guests like model Suki Waterhouse and actor Robert Pattinson spotted together.

From People’s to Monsieur

As the clock ticked past 2 am, the party scene escalated. Taylor found herself at People’s, an intimate lounge in Greenwich Village co-hosted by Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy O. Harris. A carefully curated group of A-listers like Tracee Ellis Ross, Robert Pattinson, and Lorde gave the space a cool and relaxed vibe.

Taylor then ventured to Baz Luhrmann’s after-party at Monsieur, considered the most memorable one of all, and a party as stylish as Baz Luhrmann. Though her arrival was delayed by a rocky entrance, she had to convince the doorman she was on the list.

Pharrell, A$AP Rocky, and the Race for the Ultimate After-Party

The Crane Club, hosted by Savannah James and Pharrell Williams, had exclusive parties in adjacent rooms, and A$AP Rocky also hosted an intimate gathering at Jean’s wasn't expected.

Pharrell’s party turned out to be a hotbed for the city’s most stylish and trend-savvy individuals, hosting an Uno tournament with Rolex prizes, an event that captured the attention of partygoers.

The 2025 Met Gala was held on May 5 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrating the Costume Institute’s exhibition Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. But for many stars, the event was just the beginning.

The Met Gala may be a red-carpet event, but the after-parties are where the real night unfolds.
