With store upgrades and new locations on the way, Sam’s Club is reshaping the in-store experience, as per a report by The US Sun.

What new food options are coming to Sam’s Club?

Customers looking for healthier and more convenient meals will notice a big shift in 2026. Sam’s Club confirmed it will offer sustainably sourced sushi made in-house by professionally trained chefs. The new creative menu includes Korean Barbecue Chicken Spring Rolls and Spicy Tuna Mango Rolls.

Fresh food departments are also getting an upgrade, making it easier for shoppers to grab meals made with high-value ingredients. To support these changes, Sam’s Club said it will focus more on health and wellness when developing convenience food, as per a report by The US Sun.

As part of that effort, the retailer has pledged to stop offering food with harmful additives. It has already started removing 40 ingredients, including food dyes, high fructose corn syrup, and preservatives, from its products.

How is Sam’s Club changing checkout and delivery?

One of the biggest operational changes is designed to tackle long checkout lines. Sam’s Club plans to remodel all 600 locations to improve efficiency and reduce wait times, as per a report by The US Sun.

Shoppers who want an even faster experience are encouraged to use the Scan & Go app. The app allows customers to scan items as they place them in their cart. Once finished, they can exit the store without stopping at a traditional register.

At the exit, Sam’s Club’s “exit technology” will verify purchases. The system uses AI to scan shopping carts instead of having an employee manually check receipts.

In another convenience upgrade, Sam’s Club will begin offering pizza delivery at all 600 stores starting at $8.98, making it easier for members to enjoy ready-made meals at home.

Where are new Sam’s Club stores opening?

Expansion is also part of the 2026 plan. Sam’s Club confirmed it will open six new locations this year. The stores will be located in Texas, Tennessee, and California, giving aspiring members in those areas new opportunities to join, as per a report by The US Sun.

The combination of new stores, upgraded food options, delivery services, and streamlined checkout reflects Sam’s Club’s push to modernize how members shop in 2026.
