The Sunday Night Football game was another example of how dominant the Tampa Buccaneers have been in this year. Tom Brady, the famous quarterback, apparently in his final season, arrived in Dallas with a perfect 6-0 record against the Cowboys. When he left the AT&T Stadium, his record was 7-0.
Defenses on both sides remained dominant, with either side managing a sub-40% third-down success rate. The game had 41 minutes with no touchdowns, though there were patches of excitement, specifically due to the rushes from Cowboys’ Micah Parsons and the amazing touchdown grab from Buccaneers’ Mike Evans. The latter’s teammate Leonard Fournette also had a productive night, though the game remained pale for the most part.
Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott suffered an injury to his right hand and had to leave the field for evaluation. Injuries also marred the Buccaneers, with Chris Godwin and Donovan Smith suffering blows to the hamstring and elbow, respectively. Another Cowboys player to get sidelined due to injury was Connor McGovern, who hurt his ankle. Dak exited with 5:13 in the game, making life difficult for the Cowboys. His team was the only one in the NFC East to lose on Sunday.

The 45-year-old Brady bounced back to form in Sunday’s game, shutting down all his critics. Even with Godwin and Smith down, Tom Brady spearheaded the Tampa Buccaneers to a resounding victory. His personal performance was also noteworthy, at 18-of-27 and 212 yards, highlighted by a 48-yard bomb. Tom Brady proved that he was at his “normal” best.
However, Micah Parsons’s pressure proved to be a rough challenge for Brady. The defensive rookie spun inside Donovan Smith with 8:05 left and grabbed Brady’s ankle. In all, he got to sack the veteran quarterback twice, though his efforts were not enough to avoid defeat.
