Alphonse Puthen’s ‘Gold’ was supposed to hit the screens in September, but the film was postponed as the team needed more time to wrap up the shoot. This film marks the ‘Premam’-fame director’s comeback after 7 years.

Nayanthara and Prithviraj Sukumaran will be seen sharing the screen in the comedy thriller. The plot of the movie revolves around the events that unfold when a mobile shop owner purchases a new car. ‘Gold’ has an ensemble cast that includes Amal Ameer, Roshan Mathew, Krishna Sankar, Deepti Sati, Baburaj and others.

The ‘GodFather’ actress will be seen leading Ashwin Saravanan’s directorial venture ‘Connect’. The makers of the film have announced that the movie’s first teaser will be released on November 18. ‘Connect’ will be Nayanthara’s second outing with the film-maker after ‘Maya’ in 2015.

Just like ‘Maya’, ‘Connect’ is also billed as a horror thriller. According to reports, the film, which is scripted by Saravanan and his wife Kaavya Ramkumar, is set during the Covid-19 outbreak. Viewers will also get to see veteran actor Anupam Kher, who was last seen in a Tamil movie in ‘Kuttrapathirikai’ (2007).

After carving a niche for herself in the south , the Lady Superstar is all set to take Bollywood by storm, as the leading lady of superstar Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s ‘Jawan’. This action-thriller Hindi film is all set to hit the theatres on June 2, 2023.

Nayanthara will play the role of an investigating officer, while SRK will play a dual role. The cast also includes Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra and Priya Mani. ‘Jawan’ will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.

‘AK 62’ marks Ajith Kumar’s first collaboration with director Vignesh Shivan. The 'Valimai' actor is teaming up with the director for his 62nd outing in Tamil cinema. While there has not been any official word from the makers of the film, ‘AK 62’ is expected to go on the floors by the first week of January 2023. The film will feature Nayanthara as the female lead. Not much is known about the plot and characters of the film.

‘Iraivan’, an upcoming Tamil movie directed by Ahmed, will feature Jayam Ravi and Nayanthara in the lead roles. This film marks Jayam Ravi’s first project with director Ahmed. According to reports, the shooting has been wrapped up and the movie is gearing up for its first-look release very soon.
