In the wake of Kyrie Irving's controversy, LeBron James condemns antisemitism

After the Laker's loss to Utah on Sunday, American basketball player LeBron James expressed his affection for Kyrie Irving but decried all kinds of hate speech, especially antisemitism, saying the Nets guard's words were harming many people.

LeBron James producers decided last month not to air episodes in which Kanye West continues to use anti-Semitic stereotypes and hate speech. Kyrie Irving shared a link to the film on his Social media account without comment.

The film contains quotes from Adolf Hitler and Holocaust denial. In a later interview, Kyrie Irving denied that he might be anti-Semitic and could not deny the film's anti-Semitic content.

On Thursday, the Nets were suspended indefinitely for at least five games after Kyrie Irving did not expressly object to reports about the film.

A post on Kyrie Irving's Instagram account apologized on Thursday night. On Friday, Nike suspended Irving's partnership with the company.

LeBron James needed to figure out what steps Irving should take next to resolve. LeBron said he does not tolerate racism expressed towards any race or community. It doesn't matter if they are Black, Asian, or Jews. James added that Kyrie Irving wasn't a kid anymore, so he should probably weigh his words and then speak.

LeBron James revealed how being in a top position, or a celebrated personality did not give you a free ticket to propagate anti-peace thoughts and comments about communities that have suffered long in the history of humanity.
