In order to evade arrest, a Massachusetts man did the unthinkable. Here’s what happened

A man in Fall River, Massachusetts, attempted to escape police by climbing down a chimney. The unusual incident ended with his rescue and arrest. The man now faces various legal charges.

What Happened

Cops from the Fall River Police Department conducted a raid at a residence on Canal Street. Officers knocked on the front door when they noticed two individuals fleeing to the roof.

One of the individuals, identified as Robert Langlias, attempted to escape by jumping into the chimney. Police stated that Langlias got stuck while trying to hide.

Body camera footage captured the scene, showing officers confronting Langlias inside the chimney. The suspect was confirmed to be stuck but could breathe.

Firefighters were called to the scene to free Langlias. They dismantled parts of the chimney from inside the house. Langlias was later transported to a local hospital as a precaution and cleared medically.

Charges Filed Against Suspects

Langlias faces charges for possession of Class A and Class B drugs and additional charges from outstanding warrants.

Another individual fled by jumping onto a car from the roof and remains at large. Tanisha Ibay, 32, who was at the property, was arrested and charged with drug possession.
