The farm, near Honokaa along the Hamakua Coast, was home to more than 4,000 macadamia trees. It also had avocado, finger lime, apple banana and tangerine groves, along with a greenhouse and several other features spread across the property.
Roseanne Barr bought the Hawaii farm in 2007
Barr moved to Hawaii permanently in 2007 and bought the property with plans to build a self-sufficient home, cultivate the land and help feed struggling families in the local community.The property also became part of Barr's television work. The farm was listed for sale in 2025
The 46-acre ranch was listed in August 2025 for $1.95 million. It sold a week later for $2.6 million, or $650,000 above the asking price, as per Robb Report. The main house measured roughly 2,700 square feet and had four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. High ceilings, open-plan layouts and walls of glass were among its features, while a broad lanai overlooked the coastline and orchard.The grounds included a pool with a waterslide, pool house, greenhouse, art studio, bamboo-enclosed outdoor shower and soaking tub, and a garage/workshop.
Barr said at that time, “Hawaii will always hold a special place in my heart, but I’m getting too old to do as much as I used to,” adding, “The land deserves someone with the spirit and energy to care for it the way it should be,” as quoted by Robb Report.
She retained a smaller property in Waimea while relocating to Texas to focus on new ventures.

Roseanne Barr started out doing stand-up while working as a dishwasher and waitress at a restaurant, where her funny comments to customers encouraged her to perform.Barr was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.
