Tensions erupted over the weekend as millions marched in the streets for the nationwide "No Kings" protests. President Donald Trump did not hold back.

In a late-night social media rant, he directed ICE to launch mass deportation operations against Democratic strongholds, escalating an already volatile situation even further.

President Trump's new ICE mandate comes after the No Kings demonstrations against his administration over the weekend, which occurred while the president was in Washington for a military parade on his 79th birthday.

How big were the ‘No Kings’ protests?

Millions of people attended Saturday's protests in major American cities and numerous other Democrat-controlled districts, far outnumbering the number of people who attended Trump's birthday parade in Washington, D.C.

The directive, issued in a politically charged Truth Social post, has sparked criticism for militarizing law enforcement and targeting protest hotspots such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York City, as per a report by the Daily Beast.

What did Donald Trump say in his ICE order?

Donald Trump instructed ICE employees to "do everything within their power" to hold and deport undocumented immigrants in New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Trump said these cities should be targeted because they are "the core of the Democrat power center, using illegal aliens to expand their voter base, cheat in elections, and grow the welfare state" in a Sunday post on Truth Social.

Stephen Miller, the deputy chief of staff at the White House, insisted last month that ICE should make a "minimum" of 3,000 arrests every day.

Trump complained about "Radical Left Democrats" who "hate our Country" and "believe in Open Borders, Transgender for Everyone, and Men playing in Women's Sports" in his 400-word Truth Social post, which was full of typical MAGA-baiting talking points.

He stated in his post that he has instructed his administration to concentrate on reversing the migration that has caused mass destruction and transformed once-ideal towns into dystopian Third World settings.

He underlined the Federal Government's emphasis on resettling immigrants and stopping those who threaten peace at home. Trump urged ICE, FBI, DEA, ATF, Pentagon Patriots, and the State Department to "get the job done!" and to stop the migration that is causing mass destruction. He also stated his unwavering support for these agencies.

How are others reacting to his ICE crackdown orders?

On X, Chuck Todd, a former host of Meet the Press, asserted that Trump was now "openly admitting" that he was politicizing law enforcement during a period of civil unrest.

“As he is asking them to carry out a political task,” Todd stated that this will not improve ICE's reputation.

He is obviously trying to incite a backlash when he decides to protect the red states from law enforcement, Todd asserted, reported the Daily Beast.
