ICC is set to release ITT media rights for Australia, US, West Indies, Canada

After selling ITT media rights in India, ICC is now proceeding to the next phase of market sales for the US, Canada, and other countries.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) is geared to release its media rights Invitation To Tender for four countries: the USA, Canada, West Indies and Australia. As per an announcement, the Invitation-To-Tender (ITT) media rights will be released in the next twenty-four hours.

The media rights sales are sold for the subsequent eight world events to the four identified markets. The media rights will be given to all the world competitions from 2024 to 2027 for women’s cricket and men’s; the period shall be from 2024 to 2031. Between these periods, the total count of men’s events will be sixteen and six women’s competitions. It will also constitute the Under 19 men’s Championship.

The ICC has not announced the asking price and the base price. If there’s demand in other markets like the Indian one, ICC might consider fixing the asking price. In other news, it is also revealed that the broadcasting package will be present for the TV and digital rights together, unlike the Indian system, and shall offer no standalone price.

As per the last round’s records, Indian markets generate the most income.
The UK comes second on the list.
